Germanfest on for weekend

The 21st annual Germanfest at Robert’s Cove will be held Saturday and Sunday at St. Leo Catholic Church grounds off La. 98.
The festival opens at 9:30 a.m. with a ceremony followed by a parade and tapping the keg.
The festival opens at 9 a.m. Sunday with an outdoor mass.
Saturday’s festival highlights include an old-time swine processing at 1 p.m., a demonstration on sauerkraut-making at 3:30 p.m. and music beginning at 10:15 a.m.
Sunday’s highlights includes a threshing demonstration at 3 p.m.
Attractions during the weekend include antique tractors, children’s activities and blacksmith demonstrations.
