Speed suspected as factor in wreck that killed Eunice man, 19,

Speed is suspected as a factor in a crash that killed Ryan Lee, 19, of Eunice at about 10 a.m. Thursday, a Louisiana State Police Troop I report said.
The wreck occurred on La. 104 in Evangeline Parish and about five miles from the Allen Parish line, police stated.
Lee was driving west on La. 104 in a 2000 Ford Ranger at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve and ran off the left side of the road, police report.
Lee’s vehicle came to rest after striking several trees on the eastbound side of the roadway, police said.
Police report Lee was unrestrained at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by a representative from the Evangeline Parish Coroner’s Office.
It is unknown if impairment is a factor in this crash but a toxicology sample will be taken from Lee for analysis, police said.
