Eunice native Tanner promoted to Distinquished member of Technical Staff
Danelle M Tanner, Ph.D., was recently promoted to Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM.
The Distinguished Member title is limited to the top 10% of scientist/engineers to preserve the distinction of the level. Dr. Tanner’s 31-year career has included significant contributions in different technical fields.
Dr. Tanner was recognized for her leadership of multi-disciplinary teams tackling the most complex problems using disciplined reasoning and a science basis. She utilizes a strong technical background and has developed skills in multiple fields including radiation physics and electronic radiation effects, microelectronics/microelectromechanical-systems reliability physics, and pulse-discharge capacitor reliability.
Dr. Tanner is the daughter of Helen Tanner and the late Donald Tanner of Eunice, and attended St. Edmund High School graduating in 1970.
She received Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1976 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Nuclear Physics from Texas A&M University in 1983.
