Dancing With The Stars-Blue Jay style
The dancing team of the Rev. Travis Abadie and Courtney Ruppert Smith won as Fan Favorite during the second Dancing With The Stars Blue Jay Style.
Winning the Mirror Ball trophy and top votes overall-winners was the team of Greta Feucht Fontenot and Michael Guillory.
The second Dancing With The Stars Blue Jay Style was held Saturday evening at the St. Edmund High gymnaisum.
The second fund-raiser event raised $154,000. The first Dancing With The Stars event in 2014, the school raised $104,000.
Funds were raised by the public buying votes for their favorite dancing couple. Votes were cast online as well as at the event. Couple receiving the most votes earned the winning titles. Votes were at $1 each.
The 11 competing couples included: Dr. Kayla Fontenot and Michael Ward; Kelly Manuel and Hans Heinen; Kelly Bertrand and Maurice Brown; Michelle Andrus and Augie Courville; John Pucheu and Annette Pucheu Lynch; Greta Feucht Fontenot and Michael Guillory; Toni Guillory and Jaime Gomez; Courtney Ruppert Smith and the Rev. Travis Abadie; Vivian Soileau Broussard and Randy Young; Kip Bertrand and Lisa Savoy DeVillier; and Melanie LeJeune and Mac Atteberry.
Choreographers were Oliva Dodd, Oliva Dodd’s Studio of Dance, Michelle’s School of Dance, Michelle Reed LeFleur, Lisa Johnson, Angelle Driggs, and Lisa Brown.
Serving as emcees for the evening were Michelle LeJeune, the Rev. Dustin Dought and Dr. Jamie Thompson.
The event was hosted by the St. Edmund Advisory Council.
