Bertrand named new branch coordinator at Eunice Public Library

Lacey St. Andre’ Bertrand, a Eunice native, is the branch coordinator at the Eunice Public Library.
Bertrand officially began her post at the library in January, and said, “I’m excited with taking on this responsibility and helping to assist our library’s patrons.”
Bertrand is a 2001 graduate of Eunice High School and a 2009 graduate from Remington College in Lafayette.
She lived in Lafayette for the past several years with her husband, Travis Bertrand, and two children, Gavin Bertrand and Kaydence Bertrand, before locating back to her hometown.
“I worked several different jobs. I graduated with a medical assistant degree, and worked in different medical field jobs,” said Bertrand. However, Bertrand always wanted to move back to Eunice.
Bertrand’s librarian duties will be that of multi-tasking as she will oversee the staff duties, make work schedules, assist the children’s libriarian, work at the circulation desk, assist librarian patrons and catalog adult magazines. “Whatever needs to be done, or completed, I am the ‘go to’ person,”said Bertrand.
Bertrand is the daughter of Joseph Fontenot of Eunice and the late Celina St. Andre’ of Eunice.
