Hickerson, Francis announce engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hickerson Jr. of Eunice are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Dr. Rachel Hickerson, to Ryan Christopher Francis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Francis of St. Martinville.
Miss Hickerson is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hayes Sr. of Eunice, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hickerson Sr. of Ville Platte.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Eunice High School and Grambling State University where she earned a bachelor’s of science in chemistry, and a Florida A & M University graduate where she obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy.
She is a Delta Sigma Theta sorority member.
Dr. Hickerson is employed as a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy in Lafayette.
Mr. Francis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Francis Jr. of St. Martinville.
The groom-elect is a graduate of  St. Martinville High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he earned a bachelor’s of science in Nursing.
He is employed as an emergency room nurse at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
The couple will exchange vows during a 3 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, June 4 at the Greater True Light Baptist Church in Eunice.
