One wanted, three arrested in drug roundup
Rachel B. Daigle of Eunice is wanted on drug-related charges following a series of undercover buys and possession cases by the St. Landry Parish, a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stated.
Daigle, of the 900 block of Samuel Drive, is wanted on charges of possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On May 12 the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Narcotic Enforcement Team began executing warrants in the Eunice area.
Three others from Eunice were arrested during the roundup, Guidroz said.
Stephanie R. Matte, 23, of the 1100 block of West Ash Street, was arrested on charges of Distribution of Schedule II, three counts; Violation of Drug Free Zone, two counts; and Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of a Person under the Age of 17. Her bond was set at $65,000.
Nicklos R. Thomas of the 1100 block of North MLK. Drive was arrested on charges of Distribution of Schedule II (Crack) and Violation of Drug Free Zone.
Jill Deville, 32, of the 700 block of Juanita Street, was arrested on charges of Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $6,000.
In separate cases, Matte and Thomas sold illegal narcotics to undercover agents within one to two of an elementary and junior high school, Guidroz said. Matte was charged additionally for selling the illegal narcotics in the presence of a minor child, he said.
Deville was arrested on a warrant for possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after agents received an anonymous tip concerning illegal drug use in one of the rooms at the Howards Inn, he said.
The outstanding warrants for Daigle stem from the same case as Deville.
Guidroz said, “Possessing or distributing illegal narcotics in St. Landry Parish will not be taken lightly especially when it involves schools zones and in the presence of our children.
