Eunice High School teachers Kristy McLemore and Lisa Fuselier were preparing the school for a technology revolution — the introduction of 40 Palm Pilots. Palm Pilots were the pre-smart phone of their time, except they didn’t make calls. The could send messages, take photos and be used for notes.
Myrtle Neville, the last original employee of Louisiana State University Eunice, was retiring at the end of June after 39 years on the job. She was a housekeeping supervisor.
Sarah Swint, of Eunice, graduated cum laude from Louisiana State University at Shreveport.
Ryan Blake Deshotel and Joseph Claude DeVillier received degrees from Louisiana College.
A “Letter to the editor” recognized Jerry Devillier for his contribution to a harmonica festival held in Birmingham, Alabama, by the director of the Shelby Harmonica Players Society.
