Cake sale at St. Anthony church
The Northwest Vocation Club will have a cake sale at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 310 W. Vine Ave., Eunice, before and after all Masses Saturday and Sunday. The proceeds for support seminarians and religious.

VBS set at FBC in Chataignier
First Baptist Church in Chataignier will host a Vacation Bible School beginning Monday and will continue through June 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The bible school is designed for children, pre-k through sixth grade.
Eunice Farmer’s Market summer set
The Eunice Farmers’ Market will meet on Second Street twice a week, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, and again Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
This schedule will continue, weather permitting, throughout the summer. A variety of home-made items and fresh produce will be available.

St. Luke Baptist host special guest Sunday
Come and join their congregation during a Father’s Day service at 10 a.m. Sunday at St. Luke Baptist Church in Eunice.
Brother Norbett Rosendoll will present his life changing testimony experience during the service.
The public is invited.
Youth golf lessons
Eunice Country Club will offer free golf lessons for girls and boys ages 8-14 on three dates, Monday, and June 27, and July 11.
Due to limitations of space and equipment, only the first 30 applicants will be accepted.
For reservations, call 337-457-5173, provide your name, age, and a call back phone number. The applicant must have his or her own transportation to the city golf course in Eunice.
LDWF applications
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will accept applications through Monday for waterfowl group hunts for up to 12 hunters per group at White Lake Wetlands Conservation Area

Midwife fundraiser
Louisiana Constituents for Safe Childbirth is holding a fundraising event at the Acadiana BirthHouse open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 803 S. Morgan Ave,, Broussard.
Tours of the Acadiana BirthHouse will be available, as well as a chance to meet midwives Kira Smith and Michel Martien.
LCSC is a non-profit organization, that provides research, education, resources, and support of birth options in Louisiana for healthy moms and babies. The Acadiana Chapter also holds meetings every fourth Tuesday of the month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Lafayette Moms and Babies.
Community Garden
The Eunice Community Garden has scheduled open hours from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays to allow the community to learn about the opportunity to garden in a community setting.
“Jardin des Amis” is located at 2201 W. Ash St. and is behind the state Department of Motor Vehicles office.

Saturday program at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center
Saturday programs at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center, 250 W. Park Ave., Eunice, are the Explore & Restore craft workshop for kids, from 10 a.m. to noon; Cajun Conversations meets 1 to 2:30 p.m. to learn and practice conversational Cajun French; Music and dancing kicks off at 2:45 p.m. and ends with the cooking demonstration and sampling at 4 p.m. Admission to the center and programs is free.
