A 32-year-old Eunice woman was arrested in connection with a nearly year-old burglary at Savoy Music Center on U.S. 190 east of Eunice.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz identified the arrested woman as Bonnie Marie Parker, of the 200 block of Faquetigue Street, Eunice.
Parker is charged with accessory to simple burglary, two counts of theft of a firearm, accessory to theft of money and two counts of illegal possession of stolen firearms, he said.
The burglary occurred Aug. 16, 2015, when suspects entered the business after hours stealing two rifles and money from the cash register, he said.
In March, Guidoz said tips were received on possible suspects that led to the recovery of the rifles and the arrest warrants for four individuals. In connection with the case, State Police were also able to secure arrest warrants on the same individuals for possession of the firearms. Three of the four individuals were arrested and charged for the burglary with Parker remaining at large.
St. Landry Crimes Stoppers host, Maj. Eddie Thibodeaux reported on Crime Stoppers Facebook page and on KPEL radio station that an arrest warrant was issued for Parker, Guidroz said.
On July 23, Crime Stoppers received a tip on the whereabouts of Parker, he said. Using the tip, deputies were able to locate and arrest Parker and close another burglary case, he said.
