Operation Greatness at East Elementary
Operation Greatness is new this year at East Elementary.
The event will become a monthly celebration of students’ positive strides. Two to three students will be recognized from each homeroom.
“It’s a way of recognizing the small wonders in a great way!” Dwanetta Scott, principal, said.
Operation Greatness will be held once a month at East Elementary. Parents, grandparents, neighbors, aunts, uncles, local clergy and community helpers and leaders will be invited to a brief monthly program.
Bruiser the EHS Mascot and EHS cheerleaders were on campus on Sept. 28 for the celebration event of Operation Greatness. They cheered on the recipients.
“Our goal is to recognize students at all achievement levels and abilities and for the community to be provided opportunities to support the success of our future,” Scott said. “These students excelled with their great character, attitude, conduct in class, and some students were recognized as scoring top in math.”
