Betty Jane Smith

Betty Jane Fontenot Smith died on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 75. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 03, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sensat Celebrant.
She was a homemake.
Survivors include her children, Connie Smith of New Iberia, Mylene Kay Higginbotham and husband, Gary, Ricky James Smith, and Donna Smith Soileau and husband, Blake all of Eunice; a brother, Lester Fontenot and wife, Faye of Basile; two sisters, Viola Courville and Myrtis Duplechin and husband, John all of Lafayette; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Allen Joseph Smith; two sons, Rudy John Smith and Ronnie Lee Smith; grandson, Jesse Paul DeRouen; and a sister, Jeanette Fontenot.
