Retired phone exec
NEW ORLEANS – Services will be June 6 for former officer in charge of AT&T services in Louisiana Murray Fincher. He died May 19 at age 100.
He joined AT&T (later South Central Bell) in 1957 and was in charge of Louisiana operations from 14 years. He was a former president of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Louisiana Judiciary Commission and was a trustee of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Survivors include three children.
Contractor, LSU tennis player
BATON ROUGE – Services are Wednesday for former LSU tennis player and general contractor Otey White, Jr. He died May 24 at age 86.
Most of his contracting work was in the steel and highway construction industry. He played a major role in such projects as the I-10 Atchafalaya Bridge, I-10 Bonnet Carre Spillway Bridge, the Mobile, Ala. Tunnel and the Houston, Texas Hardy Toll Road.
Survivors include his wife Catharine and five children.

Preservationist, Murphy Oil co-founder
NATCHITOCHES – Services will be Wednesday in Eldorado, Ark. for preservationist and Murphy Oil co-founder Theodosia Nolan. She died May 24 at age 96.
She was a founding member of the Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas and was commissioner of the Arkansas Arts Council for 20 years. She undertook a restoration of her paternal grandfather’s antebellum home on Cane River, leading to Cherokee Plantation house being added to the National Register of Historic Places. She, a brother and two sisters founded C.H. Murphy Oil, predecessor of Murphy Oil, Murphy USA and Deltic Timber Co.
Survivors include three children and two sisters.

Decorated vet, Exxon HR exec
BATON ROUGE – Services for decorated veteran and retired Exxon human resources manager Col. Trigg Wood, Jr. will be Wednesday. He died May 24 at age 89.
He landed in Normandy with the 102nd Infantry and fought with it across Central Europe into the Rhineland during World War II. He held the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He retired from Exxon after 35 years. He was a member of the LSU Cadets of the Ole War Skule’s Hall of Honor and had 40 years U.S. Army service, active and reserve.
Survivors include three children.

Baptist minister
MONROE – Graveside services for Baptist minister Dr. Randy McGee will be Tuesday in Bogalusa. He died May 22 at age 60.
He was pastor of First Baptist Church, Monroe, from 1999 until his death.
Survivors include his wife Renee and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Mulhearn.
Soybean leader, cattleman
OAK GROVE – Services for former Louisiana Soybean Association president Harry Henderson were May 23. He died May 20 at age 85.
He was also a past president of the Louisiana Soybean Promotion Board and the LA Association of Conservation Districts. He served many years as president of the West Carroll Conservation District, Pioneer Farmers Co-Op and West Carroll Cattleman’s Association.
Survivors include his wife Peggy and four sons.
