Former legislator
NEW ORLEANS – Memorial services for former legislator and city attorney Salvador “Sam” Anzelmo will be June 14. He died June 1 at age 95.
He was a veteran of World War II, holding two Purple Hearts. He practice law in New Orleans for more than 60 years. He was a legislator for 12 years and city attorney for seven years.
Survivors include his wife Frances, four children and two step-children.
Former mayor
PONCHATOULA – Services are June 13 for former mayor Robert Bonicard. He died June 7 at age 84.
He was also a former Tangipahoa Parish building inspector and was retired from the board of Guaranty Bank.
Survivors include four children.

Former POW
BATON ROUGE – Services for former Louisiana Veteran of the Year Edward Capron, Jr. will be June 11. He died June 4 at age 93.
He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army’s 9th Armored Division in World War II and an ex-POW, captured at the Battle of Bastogne. He was a member of the LSU Hall of Honor. His working career was with IBM, Peat, Marwick & Mitchell, and various insurance companies.
Survivors include his wife Willery and two children.
