Space engineer
BATON ROUGE – Services are Oct. 28 for retired space program engineer Robert Gray, III. He died Oct. 25.
He worked for Boeing Corp. on Apollo missions VII-XII and was on the launch team for the first manned flight into space.
Survivors include his wife Peggy and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
Lunar Rover designer
NEW ORLEANS – Services are Nov. 3 for retired space program engineer William Kimsey, Jr. He died Oct. 25.
He was a member of the Apollo XI launch team and instrumental in the design of the Lunar Rover.
Survivors include his wife Ann.
Arrangements are by Garden of Memories.
Art professor
ALEXANDRIA – Services for Louisiana College professor of art emeritus Charles Jeffress, Jr. will be Oct. 28. He died Oct. 27 at age 94.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a retired Air Force reserve lieutenant colonel. He joined La. College in 1973, and was formerly in advertising and public relations.
Survivors include his wife Jane and four children.
