Mercantile owner, banker
COUSHATTA – Services for general mercantile partner Roby Jones will be Oct. 29. He died Oct. 27 at age 91.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, European theater. He was a partner in B.O. Jones and Sons and a former director of American Bank and Trust Co. and Bank of Coushatta.
Survivors include a son.
Arrangements are by Rose-Neath.
Businessman
COLFAX – Services for retired businessman John Despino will be Oct. 30. He died Oct. 28 at age 83.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He operated Despino’s Service Station, Despino’s Muffler Shop and Despino’s Towing.
Survivors include three children.
Arrangements are by Kramer.
Utility engineer, professor
NEW ORLEANS – Services for retired LP&L chief engineer and Tulane professor Jack Davey will be Oct. 31. He died Oct. 26 at age 88.
He was with LP&L for almost 40 years. He retired from Middie South Service (Entergy) as vice president for planning and operations. He was an electrical engineering professor at Tulane.
Survivors include a son and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Lakelawn, Metairie.
