Petrochemical exec
BATON ROUGE – Services for former petrochemical executive James Black will be Oct. 31. He died Oct. 28 at age 91.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II - Africa/European Theater. He retired as vice president of manufacturing from Fina Petrochemical and Refining. He was former president of the Louisiana Chemical Association.
Survivors include his wife Betty and two sons.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
Baker, ice cream vendor
BATON ROUGE – Services for baker and ice cream vendor Robert Chatelain will be Nov. 1. He died Oct. 28 at age 82.
He was owner of the first Baskin-Robbins in Louisiana and past managing director of the Retail Baker’s Association.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Greenoaks.
Pioneer politician
MARINGOUIN – Services for contractor and pioneer politician Aldrich “Tudy” Dupree will be Nov. 1. He died Oct. 26 at age 76.
He was the first African American president of the Iberville Parish Police Jury. and co-owner of a construction company.
Survivors include his wife Sadie and three children.
Arrangements are by A. Wesley.
OB-GYN
LAFAYETTE – Services for OB-GYN Dr. Hayden “Pete” Mayeaux will be Oct. 31. He died Oct. 29.
He practiced in Lafayette and Abbeville for 40 years. He was a football player and track and field athlete at Texas A&M University and a graduate of LSU Medical School, New Orleans.
Survivors include his wife Norma and several children.
