Fort Polk PAO
LEESVILLE – Services for retired public affairs officer Dan Nance were Nov. 11. He died Nov. 8 at age 57.
He was news director at KVVP radio before becoming deputy PAO at Fort Polk, a post he held more than 20 years.
Survivors include his wife Donna and a son.
First chief
BRUSLY – Services for former police chief L.J. Berthelot will be Nov. 13. He died Nov. 9 at age 82.
He was the first chief of this town and was retired from AT&T.
Survivors include his wife Mary and several children.
Arrangements are by Wilbert.
Attorney
HOUMA – Services will be Nov. 14 for attorney Charles Blaize, Sr. are pending. He died Nov. 10 at age 71.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a former member of the Republican State Central Committee.
Survivors include two sons.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst, Baton Rouge.
Professor, minister
BATON ROUGE – Services for retired seminary professor and Baptist minister Dr. Clifford Jordan will be Nov. 14. He died Nov. 10.
He was a professor at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and pastored churches in Louisiana, Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee. HE was an adult consultant at the Baptist Sunday School Board.
Survivors include his wife June and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Church.
Pediatric dentist
BATON ROUGE – Services for pediatric dentist Dr. Thomas Kiebach will be Nov. 14. He died Nov. 10 at age 67.
He was Louisiana’s first dentist with degrees in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. He held clinical teaching positions at LSU and Indiana University and was involved in research with the University of West Virginia.
Survivors include two sons and his mother.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
