Pentecostal bishop
MONROE – Services for United Pentecostal Bishop G.E. Chance will be Jan. 9. He died Jan. 7 at age 82.
He served churches in Northeast Louisiana for more than 40 years. He held statewide UPCL posts. He founded Monroe Kindergarten and Monroe Christian School, which later became Eastpark Christian Academy.
Survivors include three children.

Pentecostal pastor
ALEXANDRIA – Services for United Pentecostal pastor the Rev. Ernest Huber will be Jan. 9. He died Jan. 4 at age 88.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Huber initially served as Assistant Pastor to then-pastor G. A. Mangun at The Pentecostals of Alexandria. He subsequently served under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Mangun as Care Pastor for Hospital Ministry and Visitation. For 34 years, in addition to his responsibilities at The Pentecostals, Reverend Huber served as Pastor of Calvary Tabernacle in Alexandria, Louisiana. During this time, he was often a Prayer Chaplain for various events at the UPCI Campground in Tioga.
Survivors include his wife Sara and three children.
