Farmer, police juror
COUSHATTA – Services for former police juror and owner of one of the state’s best known farming operations Woster Anderson will be Jan. 28. He died Jan. 25 at age 85.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II’s European theater. His Anderson Farms, established after the war, became one of Louisiana’s best known cotton, truck and cattle operations. He was former president of the Red River Parish Police Jury and an original stockholder of Armistead Gin and Red River Co-op.
Survivors include his wife Trudie and four children.
