LAFAYETTE – Services are Feb. 9 for long-time pediatrician Dr. Lewis Cummings. He died Feb. 6 at age 70.
He practiced here for more than 40 years.
Survivors include his wife Suzy and several children.
Arrangements are by Martin & Castille.
Bank marketing exec
BATON ROUGE – Services for marketing executive Jerry Turk will be Feb. 14. He died Jan. 30 at age 83.
While vice president of marketing for Louisiana National Bank he introduced a system of providing additional goods and services, a sales system he eventually put into effect in more than 130 banks nationwide through Jerry Turk & Associates.
Survivors include a daughter.
Arrangements are by Resthaven.
Rodeo producer
EVELYN – Services for rodeo producer and cattleman A.L. “Rabbit” Litton will be Feb. 10. He died Feb. 8 at age 84.
His rodeo company produced events across Louisiana for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife Janice and several children.
Arrangements are by Rockett-Nettles.
First female council member
VILLE PLATTE – Services are Feb. 10 for the city’s first female city council member Helen Dardeau. She died Feb. 5 at age 78.
She was a retired teacher, office manager for late husband Dr. James Dardeau and managed a strip mall.
Survivors include three daughters.
