Former mayor
SPEARSVILLE – Services for former mayor Oda Rockett will be Feb. 27. She died Feb. 20.
She was a retired Registered Nurse and former chairman of the Tri-Ward General Hospital board. While mayor she secured a number of grants for update municipal facilities.
Survivors include three daughters.
Arrangements are by Kilpatrick, Ruston.

Drilling expert
LAFAYETTE – Services for drilling expert Francis LeBlanc will be Feb. 26. He died Feb. 21 at age 89.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was district engineer for Eastman’s Lafayette district and considered the Gulf Coast area authority on directional drilling.
Survivors include his wife Clara and four children.
Arrangements are by David’s.
