TALLULAH – Services for Mayor Eddie Beckwith, Jr. are pending. He died Thursday at age 64.
He was a funeral home director of operations and graduate of Northwestern State.
Survivors include his wife Mary, a son and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Beckwith.

Former legislator
GALLIANO – Services for long-time legislator Richard P. “Dick” Guidry will be Sunday. He died March 26 at age 84.
He was a theater owner and real estate development and was a member of the state House of Representatives for 16 years, known for building alliances between South and North Louisiana legislators. He was a member of the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis and several children.
