Elgin 'Jean' Thibodeaux

Elgin “Jean” Thibodeaux died on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Eunice Manor. She was 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sensat Celebrant.
Survivors include her companion, Dolan Duplechin of Eunice; her four children, Debbie Thibodeaux Fontenot of Eunice and Henrietta T. Fontenot and husband, Roy all of Eunice; Sandy T. Christ of Lafayette and Ray Thibodeaux of Eunice; her brother, Hubert Matte of Rayne; 10 grandchildren, Tanva Huval, Crystal Devillier, Naomi Fontenot, Thomas, David, McKenzie and Montanna Thibodeaux, Lexie Vincent, Derek and Tiffani Christ; three step-grandchildren, Patricia Guillory, Paula Bergeaux and Susan Hagler; eight great-grandchildren, Kelci, Addie, Jaedyn, Karleigh, Landon, Oliver, Jagger and Harper; five step-great-grandchildren, Madison, Phillip, Brandon, Lily and Gabe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Thibodeaux; her parents, Wallace and Lucia Janise Matte; and two brothers, Freddie and Harold Matte.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, October 29th from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, October 30th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
