Herbert 'Chick' Dupre

Herbert “Chick” Dupre died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Oaklane Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Eunice surrounded by his loving family. He was 89. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and held the Purple Heart. He also held the Eameto Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the VFW and an insurance salesman for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Rena B. Dupre of Eunice; his son, Glenn D. Dupre of Lafayette; his three brothers, Eraste “Crip” Dupre, Jr. and Levoy Dupre, both of Eunice, Dale Dupre and wife, Jalyne of Lafayette and a sister, Lucille McGee of Lafayette .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eraste and Beatrice Darbonne Dupre; two brothers, Abbey and Hubert Dupre.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s on Monday, January 26th from 12 noon until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 27th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Monday evening.
