EUNICE~Funeral services for Mr. Herman Leday, 80, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 28, 2015 and the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at the New Hope Assemblies of God in Eunice, LA. Rev. Woody Gunnels will conduct the funeral ceremony. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Eunice, LA.
On Friday, March 20, 2015, Herman departed his earthly adobe at Oak Lane Nursing Home and took flight to the Promised Land.
Cherishing fond memories of him will be his devoted daughter: Romona Leday Davis of Little Rock, AK; three sisters: Sally (Lloyd) Fontenot and Linda Helen (Alton) Thomas both of Chataignier, LA and Shirley Calvin of Lake Charles, LA; one grandchild: Ross Edward Davis of Little Rock, AK; a sister-in-law: Marie Calvin of Chataignier, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son: Kenneth Tracy Leday; his mother: Martha Moore; his father: Whitney Calvin; one sister: Martha Jean (Leadres) Frank; and one brother: Herbert Calvin.
