Hubert J. Fontenot

Hubert Joseph Fontenot died on Friday, February 06, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He was 80. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 09, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.
He was retired from Transco.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Frey Fontenot of Eunice; three children, Pam Jouber, Renee Fontenot, and Annette Francois and husband, Duffy, all of Eunice; two step-daughters, Angie Jarreau and husband, Matt of Washington, D.C. and Monica Durapau and husband, Keith of Eunice; a brother, Harold Fontenot and wife, Lora of Eunice; sisters, Rose Mary Miller, Vicki Thompson, both of Eunice, and Dorothy Prejean and husband, Larry of Sunset. five grandchildren, 10 great -grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one step-great- grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria O’Brien Fontenot; his parents, Harry and Mable Bertrand Fontenot; son, Dana Jerome Fontenot and a brother, Virgil Fontenot.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s until time of services.
