Attorney-banker
MONROE – Services for attorney and banker L. Michael Ashbrook will be Feb. 7. He died Jan. 30 at age 72.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 10:00 am in Martin & Castille’s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Bobby James Brown, 61, who died on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at his residence in Youngsville.
A Memorial Mass will be offered as a Celebration of Life of Jacqueline Bell Fruge’, 82, in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:00 am.
Boxing champion
YOUNGSVILLE – Services are Feb. 2 for former Golden Gloves boxing champion Alvin Menard. He died at age 83.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a national boxing champion at age 16.
Survivors include his wife Hilda and two children.
Benjamin George Johnston died on Sunday, February 2, 2015, at the age of 62.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at North Eunice Baptist Church at 10 AM. Pastor Brian Johnston will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
