COUSHATTA – Services for former mayor and legislator H.M. “Mutt” Fowler, Sr. will be Sept. 21. He died Sept. 16 at age 96.
Visitation for Ollie Mae Alfred, 90, will be on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 8:00 am to 10:45 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am, both at New Zion Baptist Church, 251 Nimitz Street, Eunice with Pastor Allen W. Ben officiating.

NEW ORLEANS – Services will be Sept. 20 in Slidell for long-time WWL Television meterologist Dave Barnes, Jr. He died Sept. 13 in Tampa, Fla.
He was with the National Weather Service before working almost 209 years for WWL.

WASHINGTON, DC – Services are pending for influential lobbyist and New Orleans political family head Thomas Hale Boggs, Jr. He died Sept. 15 at age 73.
