Sadie Fontenot Gotte

IOTA – A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, December 22, 2008, at 10 am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Sadie Fontenot Gotte, 92, who passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at San Jacinto Manor in Deer Park, Texas.

Burial followed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum with Father Ted Broussard Celebrant.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, Sadie is survived by two children, her son Terrin James Gotte of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Jacob( Edna Mae) Bourgeois of Deer Park, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Gotte and her son Fredrick Gotte, and her parents, Dallas and Lena Sonnier Fontenot.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, December 21, 2008, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 8 a.m. until time of services. Deacon Eugene Roy said a Eulogy and recited a Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
