LSUE ready for regionals

DECATUR, Mississippi – The Region 23 baseball tournament begins today with the top two teams in the country facing each other.
Top-ranked LSU Eunice enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will take on second-ranked and No. 3 seed Jones County Junior College at 2 p.m.
Top-seed East Central Community College, champions of the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges tournament, will face Northwest Mississippi Community College at 6 p.m. today.
The two losers will square off at 2 p.m. Friday in an elimination game.
The two winners will face at 6 p.m. to advance to the title game.
The winner of the loser’s bracket game will take on the loser of the winner’s bracket game at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The two final teams will battle at 6 p.m. Saturday with the winner earning a berth in the World Series
The if-neccessary game will be played at 3 p.m. Sunday.
