Lemieux grabs top player honors

LSU Eunice sophomore Katie Lemieux scored 70 points in three games for the Lady Bengals.
Lemieux scored 19 points last Monday in the Lady Bengals’ 66-58 loss to Holmes Community College.
She poured in 27 points last Friday to help lead LSUE to a 81-52 win over Patrick Henry Community College.
Lemieux finished the week with 24 points in the Lady Bengals’ 69-68 loss to Patrick Henry on Saturday.
For her efforts, Lemieux earned Eunice News Player of the Week honors for Nov. 30 – Dec. 5.
Other top performers included:
Eunice High’s Stacie White scored 22 points in the Lady Cats’ 63-56 loss to Hathaway.
Eunice High’s Kevin Williams pushed in 22 points in the Bobcats’ 67-61 win over Acadiana High and chipped in 18 points in EHS’ 68-49 loss to Comeaux.
St. Edmund’s Cullen Brown scored 18 points in the Blue Jays’ 49-46 loss Gueydan.
