Eunice High will take on Sacred Heart of Ville Platte at 8 p.m.
“The players are excited that the season is about to begin,” Eunice head coach Paul Trosclair said. “It will be a great game atmosphere in front of a big crowd.
“We need to improve from the scrimmage,” Trosclair said. “Sacred Heart is running the single wing now and that is a tough offense to ger ready for in just a week.”
Sacred Heart first-year head coach Josh Harper is hoping to carry the momentum gained in their scrimmage against St. Mary High School this past Friday.
“I was very pleased with how we played in the scrimmage,” said Harper. “I am excited for the future of this program.
“Our guys showed a tremendous effort and competitive edge that I was looking for.
We are looking to build on what we have been doing,” said Harper. “The key is not to be satisfied and to continue to get better.”
