But this week, the Bobcats (5-2, 3-1) are stepping out of the ring for a bout with undefeated 1-A powerhouse Vermilion Catholic.

“They are real hard to stop,” Eunice head coach Paul Trosclair said. “They are well skilled with a very multiple attack with a good quarterback and running backs.”

Last week against Highland, VC’s Mike Campbell gained 152 yards on nine carries and scored five times in the first half. Brennan Gallet completed 8-of-11 passes for 90 yards and touchdown tosses to Emile Trahan, Connor Menard and Campbell.

Eunice quarterback Alex Richard completed 9-of-14 passes for 103 yards  and also scored on an 11-yard run in the second quarter.

“Defense we played lights out again and offensively we showed some signs that we can do some things,” Trosclair said. “The players were real excited with the win.

“It is going to be key that we can move the ball this week,” Trosclair said. “We have to score points.”
