Richard earns top honors

Eunice High’s Darious Richard gained  213 yards on 34 carries to help the Bobcats grab a 23-11 upset over No. 10 Rayne.

Richard also scored on a 4-yard run in the third quarter to give the Bobcats a  14-3 advantage.

For his efforts, Richard was selected as the Eunice News Player of the Week for Oct.  13-19.

Iota’s Adam Ardoin gained 148 yards on 35 carries  in the Bulldogs’ 34-0 loss to Westlake.

Eunice quarterback Alex Richard completed 9-of-14 passes for 103 yards in the win over Rayne. 

He also scored on an 11-yard run in the second quarter.

Church Point’s Trevor Breaux gained 107 yards on 13 carries in the Bears’ 38-7 win over Northwest. James Bellard added 95 yards on 16 carries, including a 1-yard touchdown run.

Basile rolled up 355 yards on the ground in the Bearcats’ 51-6 win over Grand Lake led by Kendrick Ceaser (3-88, TD), Jared Belle (8-87) and Clintrell Sias (2-80, 2 TD).

It was the LaFleur family show in St. Edmund’s 40-0 win over North Central as Ross LaFleur (2-68, TD), Zach LaFleur (3-51, TD) and Gibson LaFleur  (8-49, TD) helped the Blue Jays roll up 347 yards on the ground.
