Zachary Red Hat Group

The Zachary Red Hat group, “The Merry Maids of Mayhem,” surprised their “Queen Mum,” Nancy Messer, with a visit recently to Sherwood Manor Rehabilitation where she is undergoing rehab. The Merry Maids ate, drank and made merry while sharing tidbits of interesting information and discussing plans for a fun luncheon and partnering with Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) during the month of October as part of the Louisiana Book Festival and in November at Barnes and Noble as part of LPB’s Book Fair fundraiser. In the past, the group has volunteered as phone operators for some of the LPB television fundraisers. Additionally, the Maids discussed volunteering to read to children in various classrooms. A jolly time was had by all. Long may the Red Hats rule!
