Alleged mule stopped carrying 14 pounds of coke near Welsh

WELSH – A driver allegedly following another too close on I-10 had more than 14 pounds of cocaine in his car, State Police said.

Troopers stopped John Flores, 35, of San Antonio early Friday when they noted his east-bound 2011 Kia following too closely to a vehicle in front of it.

Given permission to search, they allegedly discovered the cocaine, with value of more than $200,000.

Flores was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish jail on possession with intent to distribute charges.
