Fall series goes to 7th game as LSU Eunice teams at 3 wins each

The LSU Eunice baseball team’s Fall World Series will go to a seventh game after the Golf squad came away with an 8-2 victory on Sunday night to knot the series at 3-all.
Faced with an elimination contest after dropping three straight games to the Black team, the Gold squad saw starter Kolby Green pitch a gem, with the redshirt freshman tossing five innings of one-hit baseball, striking out five batters. Freshman reliever Logan Amacker added three hitless innings and three strikeouts of his own.
The freshmen duo of Ben Chauvin and Ralphie McDonald each finished 3-for-6 in the win, with Chauvin driving home three RBIs, scoring twice and stealing a base. McDonald added an RBI and scored a run of his own while swiping two bases. Redshirt freshman Nick Artall finished his night 2-for-2 with two RBIs as well.
Sophomore starter Ben LeBlanc was saddled with the loss for the Black squad after allowing seven hits, six walks and three runs in his 4 2/3 innings of work.
At the plate, sophomores Kyle St. Pierre and Dominique Landry each notched a hit and RBI in the loss.
Game Seven of the series will be Monday night at 6 p.m. at Bengal Stadium.
