Acadia Parish sheriff seeks burglary suspect

Authorities in Acadia Parish are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 28-year-old St. Martinville man.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon on July 19 deputies with his office were called to investigate a residential burglary that occurred in the 1200 block of Rue Novembre, Scott.
Following an investigation into the incident, investigators issued a warrant of arrest for simple burglary for Mitch David Bourque of the 1000 block of Laure Lane, St. Martinville.
Bourque is believed to frequent the Rayne and Maurice area and Melancon is asking anyone knowing his whereabouts to contact the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 788-8700.
