Elderly passenger killed when teen driver pulls into path of 18-wheeler

HINESTON – A Glenmora man was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash on La. Highway 121 at La. 112 near Hineston.

Troopers said Floyd G. Goleman, 80, was a passenger in a car driven by a 16-year-old boy. The boy was driving south on La. 121 when he attempted to make a left turn north onto Highway 112.

Investigators say the car hit an 18-wheeler driven by David P. Carroll, 44, of Hineston.

The juvenile wasn’t injured. He received tickets for improper turning and no driver’s license.

Carroll was transported to the hospital with minor injuries
