The Experience Louisiana Festival scheduled Oct. 17 to 18 on the LSUE campus is gaining participants and attention as planning continues, Dwight Jodon, a festival organizer said.
The Experience Louisiana Festival had a big day Thursday as it learned of a $10,000 state grant for marketing and met with Gregor Trumel, consul general for the Consulate General of France in Louisiana.

The food, music and culture of Louisiana has been the focus of Experience Louisiana Festival planners.
But a pivot toward youth was suggested by the Charles Larroque, executive director of the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana.
Experience is the key word for the upcoming Experience Louisiana Festival, a crowd of about 40 people heard Thursday.
