Juvenile, 16, Eunice. Possession of tobacco under 18 years of age, possession of marijuana, simple escape.
Dwayne Scott LeBouef, 33, 1409 Moon Road, Basile. Driving under suspension, no insurance, obstruction of a public passage.

Free recreational fishing set June 11-12
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division agents are looking for leads regarding two endangered whooping cranes that appear to have been shot to death in Acadia Parish.
The cranes were found just south of Rayne off of Hwy. 35 on the morning of May 20.

Beekeepers and private landowners in Acadia Parish can apply for assistance through the Natural Resources Conservation Service to help enhance and restore pollinator habitat.

BATON ROUGE — With just days left in the 2016 General Session of the Louisiana Legislature, lawmakers have written and introduced 1,644 bills, but only 281 of them have become law – a 17 percent success rate.

A parish library system was touted to the St. Landry Parish Council Wednesday, but two Eunice leaders contacted Thursday were more inclined to say the Eunice library should become independent.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
