ECTEC receives Walmart Grant

The Administration of the Eunice Career & Technical Education Center (ECTEC) recently learned that they were recipients of a Wal-Mart Community Grant in the amount of $2,000.
“Partnership in education is the keystone to a successful school,” said Kristine Joubert, ECTEC Facilitator, “through partnerships with area businesses such as Wal-Mart, the staff of ECTEC is able to offer to students of this area such a top-notch learning experience.”
The Wal-Mart Community Grants range in size from $250 to $2,500, and are given to non-profit organizations fulfilling at least one of the four areas of giving: hunger relief and healthy eating, sustainability, women’s economic empowerment or career opportunity. As an educational facility focusing on career growth, ECTEC was a natural fit for applying for this grant.
The Eunice Career and Technical Education Center (ECTEC) offers programs and/or certification in several trade skills, including; Carpentry, Auto Mechanics, CNA, Medical Terminology, First Responder, Welding, Oil & Gas Production, and Culinary Arts.
ECTEC programs and activities are open to all students regardless of race, color, handicap, religion, creed, national origin, age or sex. For more information, please
