Eunice couple celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Harold and Glenna Loewer celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 24. The couple Harold Loewer of Mowata and Glenna Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie, Kansas, were married 60 years ago on Nov. 24, 1955.  The couple were honored this past summer with a 60th anniversary reception at Acadia Baptist Center by their four adult children and their families.  The Loewers are active retirees through First Baptist Church in Eunice.  Before retirement they farmed rice, raised cattle, served with Campus Crusade, and lived in Belize, Central America as lay missionaries. The Loewers are parents of four children: Greg Loewer of Alexandria, Virginia, Robbin Loewer Phelps of New Orleans, Debbie Loewer Caldwell of Bridgeport, Texas, and Wesley Loewer of Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa. They are grandparents of 10 and great-grandparents of two. (Information and photos submitted)
