Darrell 'Rice' Fontenot

EUNICE~ Darrell “Rice” Fontenot died on Friday, September 27, 2013 at his home. He was 58.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

Survivors include his daughter, Emily Fontenot of Eunice; mother, Patsy Fontenot of Eunice; brother, Randall Fontenot and wife, Jackie of Eunice; sister, Connie Tupper and husband, Woody of Mowata; and two grandchildren, Allison and Ava Daigle.

He was preceded in death by his father, L.D. Fontenot and nephew, Jacob Scott Fontenot.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, October 1st from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Tuesday.
