Escapee captured at Dallas mall

Escaped Eunice City Jail inmate Jody Vallier, 25, was captured Friday morning.
Authorities in Texas ran him down at a mall in Dallas, police said.
He will be returned to Eunice this week.
Vallier, fled on the afternoon of Aug. 29 after being allowed in the jail courtyard with other inmates for regularly scheduled outside time.
When the inmates were rounded up for return to their cells, Vallier went the other way, according to police.
He had been arrested the night before on charges of obscenity, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and resisting.
