Firefighters pay a visit to Eunice Elementary

Eunice Elementary’s second- and third-graders were treated to a presentation given by the Eunice Fire departments’ firefighters Chaise Brown and Christian Walker recently. Volunteer firefighter Nicole Dupre from the St. Landry Fire District 6 gave a talk on fire prevention and fire safety as well. Firefighters also showed their equipment and told the group the procedures used to fight fires. Students also learned how to escape from a fire and were given helpful information and phone numbers to use in case of a fire.
