Highland students say 'No' to drugs

Capt. Clay Higgins of St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s office was a guest speaker at Highland Elementary Oct. 26 during the school’s Red Ribbon Week. Higgins spoke to the student body about saying No to drugs, and staying away from drugs. Higgins, added, “It’s important to attend school, do your best, pay attention, stay out of trouble. He stressed that, “Drugs are not a good thing. ..Drugs will make you sick and your brain will become sick.” (Photo by Myra Miller)
