Mayor signs proclamations for Buddy Poppy and Veterans Day

Proclamations signed by Mayor Moody

Mayor Moody signs two proclamations presented by the VFW Post 8971 Commander and members. One, Buddy Poppy Days, during the month of October through Nov. 11. This fundraising campaign is used exclusively for the benefit of disabled and needy veterans, and the widows and orphans of deceased veterans. And the second proclaims Veterans Day, whereas Mayor and all veterans alike urge Eunice citizens to honor veterans and take time to reflect upon their sacrifices they made for our freedom. Pictured above are VFW Post members and All-American Commander Gene Olivier. Sitting from left are Donald Estillette, chaplain; Mayor Moody and Louis Pavur, trustee.
