Other Desert Cities opens tonight
Opening night has arrived for the first show of Eunice Players’ Theatre’s 46th season. “Other Desert Cities” begins tonight with shows continuing Friday night, Sunday afternoon, and more dates next week. In a scene from this intriguing dramedy centered on a Hollywood-connected family living in Palm Springs, siblings Trip and Brooke, played by Travis Fontenot and Kayla Petitjean, spend a moment talking about the book Brooke has written about their family. Evening performances will be held April 17, 23, 24, 25 at 7 p.m. A matinee will be held Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m. Dinner theatre (with steak and trimmings) is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. at Ruby’s on Second St., with the performance immediately following. All seats are $12; dinner is an additional $20. Tickets can be purchased at David Ltd. Salon and Charming Interiors in Eunice, or by calling 546-0163 or 466-3342 to charge by phone. This play includes adult language and very brief use of smoking of herbal cigarettes. Season tickets are still available for $25, which allows the bearer entrance to the season’s three shows, the ability to make seating reservations, an invitation to the Irving Awards, and a ballot for the awards. Patron and angel packages are also available. (Photo Submitted)
